William C. Stander, age 76, passed away on July 28, 2021 at his home in Arcadia, FL. He was born on October 9, 1944, in Mansfield, OH to the late Richard R. and Betty Stander. He was of the Presbyterian faith, a member and Elder of First Presbyterian Church in Arcadia.

Bill was a graduate of Ohio State University, after college, he was the owner-operator of a trucking company in Ohio.  Bill sold the trucking company and start a facility to breed, train, and race Standardbred Pacers and Trotters in front of sulkies. One year he was "Top Driver-Trainer" at the Scioto Downs near Columbus, Ohio. Moving to Florida in 1999, Bill purchased a property in Arcadia and started a cattle operation.

Bill will be remembered as a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed. He had an uncanny knack for knowing how to fix and repair anything, and he had a great sense of humor. He loved the outdoors and nature, in Ohio he started a Tree Seedling program.

He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn E. Stander, sons Spencer (Julia ) Stander, Weston Stander all of Calabasas, CA, and Dale (Laura) Stander of Port Richey, FL; two sisters Susan Martter and Sally Brown and one granddaughter Sienna Stander. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Rick Stander.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Arcadia on October 9, 2021, at 2:00 pm
