Zelphia Mae James, Age-80 of Arcadia, Florida passed away on Thursday April 28 ^th 2022 at Tidewell Hospice after a long illness. Zelphia was born on December 5 ^th 1941 in Stanton, Alabama. She worked as a supervisor at Kingsley Center where she retired from. Zelphia was a world traveler and a fashion icon. She enjoyed listening to music, doing puzzles and helping out at True Holiness Church where she was an active member. She will be remembered as a kind, helpful God fearing person who could be outspoken.

Zelphia is survived one niece; Donys Hill and one nephew, Michael Hill. She is predeceased by her husband Ardis James, her mother, Mildred M. Hickson and one sister Dorothy Hill.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 7 ^th at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church 319 South Lee Avenue Arcadia, FL Interment to follow at Oakridge Cemetery Arcadia, FL. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made to Tidewell Hospice.
