Yolanda Hernandez, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on August 6, 1955, in Hidalgo County, Texas

She had lived in Zolfo Springs for approximately 50 years where she retired. She attended St. Michaels Church for several years but recently attended Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witness.

She watched Novelas, read her bible, enjoyed time with her children and family. She will be remembered as a loving, unselfish, but stern mother who always instilled her strong faith in her children. A mother who made many sacrifices to carry her children through life.

She is survived by her children Jose Hernandez of Mt. Olive, NC, Fernando Hernandez of Wauchula, Florida, Mauricio (Lucy) Hernandez of Mission, Texas, Laura Aguilar of Fort Myers, Florida, Gabino Jr. (Esmeralda) Hernandez of Benson, NC., Rodolfo (Esmeralda) Hernandez of Clemson, NC., Silbestre Hernandez of Columbia, SC., Yolanda C. (Jessica)Hernandez of Zolfo Springs and Genesis G.(Yanel) Hernandez-Lopez of Hoffman, NC.as well as twenty six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, Vicente Hernandez-Jaramillo.

The visitation will be held on Friday, May 31,2024 at 5:00-7:00pm in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home at 205 N. 9th Ave Wauchula, Florida.

The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home at 205 N. 9th Ave Wauchula, Florida. The Burial Will follow at Wauchula City Cemetery.
