Obituary

In loving memory of Bill Morse, who passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2024, at the age of 75. He was born to William Scott Morse, Sr. and Dorothy V. Lloyd and raised in Mexico Maine and was a high school graduate of Mexico High school in 1966. Shortly after graduation he joined the Navy and came home to marry his sweetheart, MaryAnn.

He was a dedicated wood carver, known for his and his late wife's intricate and beautiful creations that captured the essence of nature. He found joy in every piece of wood he transformed, and was proud to make custom walking stick for all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bill was also a member and past president of the Maine ATV riders club, where he forged many lasting friendships while exploring the great outdoors. He loved nothing more than the thrill of riding through the rugged terrain, feeling the wind in his face as he embraced the beauty of nature. A true outdoorsman, Bill had a deep appreciation for hunting and fishing. He spent countless hours in the wilderness, finding solace and fulfillment in the simplicity of nature's wonders. His skills as a hunter and fisherman were unmatched, and he passed on his knowledge and love for the outdoors to his family and friends.

Above all, he cherished his family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband/father/Grampy/ uncle and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, MaryAnn Morse and sister, Donna Hansen.

He is survived by his son, Gregory and wife Tammy Morse from Rumford, Maine, daughter, Melissa Wilde from Arcadia, Florida. Sister Cindy and husband Alan Archibald from Mexico, Maine.

He also has 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and 13 nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed.

Bill's legacy lives on through his family, friends, and the beautiful creations he left behind. May he rest in peace, rejoining the love of his life MaryAnn in heaven.
