William King Clopton, II, age 56, went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2010 in Port Charlotte, FL after a year long battle of cancer; he was surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born January 2, 1954 in West Palm Beach, Fl., moving to Arcadia in 1981 from Boca Raton, Fl. Bill was a wonderful family man; he enjoyed his job as manager of Bill Smith TV and Appliance. He loved seeing his family enjoy life; his favorite activity was taking the family on wave runners to Lake June or the Florida Keys. Bill was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Lake Suzy. He is survived by his wife of almost 36 years, Cynthia A. Clopton of Arcadia, FL., one son; Sgt. Titus W. (Stephanie) Clopton of Fort Leonardwood, MO; one daughter; Tara N. Clopton of Arcadia, Fl., like a son; Sean D. Smith of El Paso, TX; his father; James W. Clopton of Boca Raton, FL; one brother; David Clopton of Marietta, GA; one sister; Sandra (Jim) Henry of Coconut Creek, Fl.; brother and sister in law; Russell and Marie Adams of Margate, FL.; one grandson Xavier King Clopton; several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his son Tyler K. Clopton and mother Margaret Howlett Clopton. Memorial services and a Celebration of Bill s life will be Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 3:00PM at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10548 SW Co. Rd. 769, Lake Suzy, FL. with Rev. Sammie M.
