William K. Beard

William King Beard was born in Arcadia, FL, on May 18th, 1950. He attended the University of Florida, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in English Literature. He went on to teach English Literature at Sebring High School. He later taught in an educational program at the Wauchula Correctional Institution, where he helped hundreds of inmates earn their GEDs. William was also a devoted Christian who loved to study scripture, and he praised God for all things. Most importantly, he was a father who loved his children unconditionally, and they are blessed to have learned so much from him. His children will always remember his quick wit and incredible sense of humor, and they will keep him in their hearts forever. William has moved on from this world to be with his son, Dylan Kai Beard, his father, William Weldon Beard, and his mother, Doris Beard, in Heaven. Remaining to keep his memory are his sister, Karen Beard-Wilson, his daughters Laleña Beard, Lauren Robinson, Emily Beard, and Sophia Holmes, and his sons Paul Beard and Luke Beard. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Will Robinson, Kathryn Robinson, Willow Quikbeard, Mason Holmes, and Noah Holmes.

A graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 4:00 pm.
