Obituary

William (Bill) Wight was born on June 14, 1956, in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  He graduated from Litchfield High School and lived in the surrounding areas of Bridgeport until he relocated to Arcadia, Florida in the late 1980s.  Bill worked at the Desoto Correctional Center until he retired in 2016.  After retirement, Bill pursued his true passion, which was photography.  You couldn't miss Bill, wherever he went, with his lenses and camera strapped to his body.  His passion and love for photography and the people he encountered was evident in all his photos.  He won an FMA Charlie Award and received other recognition for many of his photos.

A true kid at heart, Bill also loved playing video games, remote control cars, and the newest, latest and greatest of all gadgets!  He was a prankster, loved telling jokes, laughing, and making others laugh.

Bill is survived by his mother, Claire, his brother, Gary (Elena), his sister, Linda, and his lifelong best friend, Mark (Roxie) Paris.  There are very few who did not know and love Bill in Arcadia and the surrounding areas and Bill loved and considered them family as well.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date – until then, as Bill would say, remember that Everyone is Beautiful .
