In Memory of William Scott Baker, of Bowling Green, Florida, formerly of Elgin, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on October 7, 2026, following a short battle with cancer. William will be remembered by his family and loved ones for the life he lived and the memories he leaves behind. Though his time here has come to an end, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. 

He is survived by his two daughters, Sarah (Eric) Gierens and Jacklyn (Johnny) Gunter; his sister, Jody (Cris) Svoboda; and his six beautiful grandchildren, nieces and nephews and so many other family members and friends who will forever hold a special place in his legacy.

William was preceded in death by his mother, Delores (Garvin) Slone; and his sisters, Amy Hastings and Amanda (Chris) Henning. Though William's passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him, the memories he created and the family he leaves behind will ensure that he is never forgotten. May he rest in peace
