Wilfredo Willie Salinda age 60 passed away November 30, 2011 in Port Charlotte, FL. Willie was born May 14, 1951 in Cazone City, Philippines. He moved to Arcadia in 1985. Willie worked for the Association for Retarded Citizens (A.R.C.) as a Skills Training Instructor. He had also worked as a cruise ship crewmember prior to coming to Arcadia. He enjoyed Karaoke and hosting Philippine Parties. He was a very friendly and generous person. He was of the Episcopal faith. Willie is survived by his daughter, Rhodora Salinda, Arcadia, FL, two sons, William and Wilbert Salinda, both living in the Philippines, his companion Elaine Holland Salinda, two sisters, Clarissa Zuniga, VA, and Terecita Estiban, MD, and two grandchildren, Joshua and Unique Salinda. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raphael and Purita Salinda and two brothers, Cecil and Rommey Salinda. Memorial services will be at 2:00PM, Friday, December 2, 2011 at First Assembly of God Church, Arcadia, FL with Rev. Charles Watts and Jody Griffin officiating.
