Wilber Lynn Little passed away on August 31, 2024. He was born in Amory, Mississippi to Eldon Hall Little and Willie R. Turner on October 29, 1945.  He moved into this community with his family in 1959 from Plant City, Florida. He was a DeSoto County High School graduate.

He worked as a Supervisor and Grounds Keeper for many years at G. Pierce Woods Hospital. As a young man he served gallantly in the military for over 20 years serving in both the US Marine Corps and the US Army receiving many honors and awards including 2 Purple Heart Medallions. He also served as First Sargent of the Arcadia National Guard.

He loved fishing, camping and traveling as well as a little Golf! He enjoyed being with his family and being in his Man Cave with his friends watching car racing, eating popcorn and drinking Busch Light.

He is preceded in death by his parents Eldon and Willie Little and his wife Linda Faye Crews Little. Also, his brothers Douglas who passed in 2016, Loyd who passed in 2009 and Sidney who passed in 2014.

He is survived by his children and 6 grandchildren, Linda Ellis (Bert) Trevino of Arcadia, Florida, Michele (Rick) Garber of Billerica, Massachusetts, and Reppard (Jennifer) Little of Arcadia, Florida. His grandchildren are, Garrett Little, Nicholas Garber, Brandon Little, Cameron Garber, Christopher Trevino and Ryan Little.

The Visitation will be on Friday, September 6, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, Florida 34266. The Service will be on Saturday, September 7 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes with Rev. Darrel Hathcock officiating. Burial will follow at Kabrich Cemetery with Military Honors.
