Virginia L. Jacobs, age 61, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 in Arcadia. She was born March 22, 1948 in Fort Geo. G. Meade, MD, moving to Desoto County 30 years ago. Virginia was a very loving, caring mother, grandmother and sister will be missed by her family. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, crafts, reading, and working crossword puzzles. Virginia was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by three daughters, Sheila Jacobs and Laura Jacobs both of Arcadia, FL, and Angela (Richard) Cooper of Lakeland, FL., one sister Nancy (Frank) Whidden of Sebring, FL, four grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley, Clayton and Morgan. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Larue Jacobs, son, Kevin L. Jacobs, and parents, Homer D. and Betty G. Kunkle-Vaughan. Memorial Services and a Celebration of Virginia s life will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Virginia s name to Tidewell Hospice, 917 N.
