Viola Meeker, age 80, of Arcadia, past away, Friday, Oct. 17, 2008 in Punta Gorda, Fl. She was born Dec. 8, 1927 in Lincoln Co., TN., moving to Arcadia in 1975 from Adrian, Michigan. Viola was a collector of bells and angels/. She was a member of Arcadia Church of God, being was very active in church functions as they related to the lady s of the church.and visiting those in the local nursing home Survivors are: a son Ervin McGowan, Arcadia, three daughters: Viola Elaine Pugh, Deller Elizabeth Pitts, and Patricia Ann Bates, all of Guin, Al. Preceding her in death are her husbands, Kenneth Meeker and Ervin McGowan, Sr., her parents, L. C. and Deller Ritchardson Worrick,and a daughter Shirley, Visitation will be conducted 5:00PM until 6:00PM Monday evening, Oct. 20, 2008 at Arcadia Church of God , with a funeral service to be conducted at 6:00PM at the church. A funeral service will be conducted in Adrian, MI from the Adrian Church of God, with burial in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Adrian, MI. Anderson Funeral Home, 3050 W. Beecher Road, Adrian, MI will be in charge of the services in Michigan.
