Vida Mae Skinner, age 89, of Arcadia, Fl. passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 in Leesburg, FL. Vida was born in Myakka City, FL, December 30, 1921, moving to Arcadia 49 years ago. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed raising a garden and keeping her home neat and clean. She was of the protestant faith. Survivors are her daughter; Mildred Yazell, Nashville, TN., a sister; Lois Dyal, Arcadia, three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren , and 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; William Jessie and Betty Caroline Keene Wingate, a sister; Sankie Wingate and a brother; Robbie Wingate. Visitation will be 1:00PM until 2:00PM, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Arcadia Church of God. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM at Arcadia Church of God with Reverend Steve Griffin officiating, burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia, FL.
