Victoriano "Victor" Avila, 67, passed away on Saturday, 13th of June, 2020 in Wisconsin. He was born on January 14th, 1953 to Leandro Ávila Guillen and Antonia Olvera Ponce in Lagunillas, San Luis Potosí, México. Victor migrated to the U.S. when he was 19 years old, where he worked in Texas and eventually, began his life in Arcadia, Florida where he met his loving wife Idalia Ávila and later, where they had their daughter, Victoria Ávila.

The oldest of 13 siblings, Victor will be remembered as an intelligent, kind, hardworking, and inquisitive man. He enjoyed sharing stories with friends and family; spending time with his loved ones; and, growing a variety of vegetables at his home. His ranch in Mexico, El Oasis Ranch, had cattle and horses, a plenty. He was an avid coin collector, often sharing his expertise with his family.

For the majority of his life, he worked in the citrus fields of Southwest Florida as the contractor for several of the citrus companies in the area. He often migrated to the U.S. North following the agricultural seasons to provide a good living for his family.

In addition to his wife, Idalia, and his daughter, Victoria, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Olvera Ponce; his brothers: Antonio, Guadalupe, Cuitláhuac, Cuauhtémoc, Moctezuma, Eugenio, and Victor Alfonso Ávila; and his sisters: Maria Elehazar, Lidia, Aracelia, Margarita, and Martha Maria Ávila.

His visitation will be held on Sunday, June 21st, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, FL, 34266. His funeral will be held on Monday, June 22nd, 2020 at 10:00 AM, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1208 E Oak St, Arcadia, Fl 34266. Burial will take place at Joshua Creek Cemetery.

Victoriano "Victor" Ávila, 67, fallecio el sabado, 13 de Junio 2020 en Wisconsin. Nacio el 14 de Enero de 1953 a sus padres, el Señor Leandro Ávila Guillen y la Señora Antonia Olvera Ponce en Lagunillas, San Luis Potosí, México. Victor migro a los Estados Unidos a los 19 años, donde trabajo en Texas y eventualmente, empezó su vida en Arcadia, Florida donde conocio a su querida esposa, Idalia Ávila, y donde tuvieron a su hija, Victoria Ávila.

El mayor de 13 hermanos y hermanas, Victor sera recordado como un hombre inteligente, respetoso, amable, trabajador, y inquisitive. Le encantaba compartir historias con sus amistades y familiares; pasar tiempo con sus seres queridos; y, cultivar una variedad de vegetales, incluyendo chiles y tomates. En su rancho en México, El Oasis, tenía varios animales, vacas y caballos. Le encantaba colectar monedas y, a menudo, compartía sus conocimientos con su familia.

Por la mayoria de su vida, trabajo en los campos de naranja en el sur-oeste de Florida como el contratista por varias compañias en la area. A menudo, el migraba al Norte, seguiendo las temporadas agrícolas para proveer una vida buena para su familia.

La visitación sera el domingo, 21 de junio de las 4:00PM a 6:00 PM en Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, FL, 34266. El funeral se llevará a cabo del lunes 22 de junio a las 10:00 AM en la Iglesia Catolica de San Pablo, 1208 E Oak St, Arcadia, Fl 34266. El sepelio se llevará a cabo en el Joshua Creek Cemetery.
