Valdia B. Dees, age 77, of Arcadia, Fl. passed away, Sunday, March 29, 2009 in Arcadia. Valdia was born in Nocatee, Fl. March 10, 1932 to the late Roy and Evelyn Bellflower. She was a graduate of and Valedictorian of DeSoto County High School, class of 1950. Valdia followed a career in bookkeeping. Valia s first job after graduation was bookkeeper sales person for A. C. Polk Furniture Co.(Babcock Furniture Co.). She worked for G. Pearce Wood Memorial Hospital for a period of time She was a bookkeeper for the Fl. Dept. of Transportation, retiring after 30 years of faithful service. Valdia enjoyed traveling and spending the summers at their summer home in Franklin, NC. Valdia was a faithful member of the Arcadia Church of God and was very active n the life of the church. Survivors are her beloved husband of 55 years, Wilbur, Arcadia, a son Steve (Bonnie) Dees, Merritt Island, Fl. and three grandchildren, Brandon, Stephanie, and Michael Dees. all of Merritt Island, Fl.. Visitation will be held from 11:30AM until 1:00PM Wednesday, April1, 2009 at the Arcadia Church of God. Funeral services will be at 1:00PM at the Arcadia Church of God, Arcadia, Fl.
