Uriel Reyes of Wauchula, Florida passed away on January 12, 2023 at the age of 62. He was born in Apatzingan, Michoacan,. Mexico and was a 31-year Hardee County resident. He worked at local grocery stores as a friendly and kind meat cutter.

He was a very loving family man, and hardworking to provide for his family. Uriel was very generous with his time and always had a willingness to help others. He enjoyed playing basketball and watching Mexican soccer. He loved to work at his property and care for his livestock.

He is survived by his wife Luisa; son, Uriel Reyes Jr. (Idalia); daughters, Evelyn Smith (Josh) and Rogelia Castanon (Roldan); eight grandchildren, Janie, Jolivette, Josielyn, Adriel, Eve, Noah, Jameson, Nia. He had five brothers and five sisters. His children and eight grandchildren will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 20th, 2023, at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Wauchula, Florida from 3:00 PM– 6:00 PM.
