Thomas Tommy/TV V. Anderson, age 77, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009 in Costa Rica. He was born January 8, 1932 in Arcadia, Fl. and was a lifetime resident. Tommy enjoyed his life; he loved traveling to new places. He was a dual resident of Arcadia and Costa Rica. Tommy was a sports enthusiast; he graduated from Desoto High School of which he was the Captain of the school s football team. Tommy also bowled in many leagues and loved hunting. Tommy was of the Baptist faith, he also served our country in the U.S. Army. Tommy spent his working career with FPL Utilities. He will be missed very much by his family and many lifetime friends. He is survived by one daughter Melinda Kay Anderson of Arcadia, Fl., one brother Willis Anderson of Okeechobee, Fl., and two grandchildren Dalton and Devin. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas M. and Alice Lee Anderson. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, FL. Graveside services will be Friday, August 28, 2009 at 10:00AM at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lee St., Arcadia, with Rev. Frank Bauer officiating.
