Thomas "Tommy" John Russell, 75, of Arcadia, Fla., passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008, in Arcadia. He was born May 15, 1932, in Rochester, N.Y., and had lived in Arcadia several years, moving to Florida from North Carolina. Thomas was retired as a school teacher with the New York State education system. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Tommy leaves many friends in the Arcadia area. Funeral arrangements are pending until Tommy's next of kin have been notified. Arrangements are by Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, Arcadia.
