We are saddened to announce the death of loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, Thomas Edward Brauckhoff. Tom was a long-time resident of Zolfo Springs, Florida. He passed away peacefully at the age of 85 at Tidewell Hospice House in Arcadia, Florida on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He will be missed beyond measure.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 21 years, Mary Lee (nee Vetters); his father, Ernest; his mother, Ruth (nee Umphlette); and his three loving brothers, Robert, Gilbert, and Raymond.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Lorraine (nee DuBois); daughters, Lynn Thompson (Paul), and Lisa Robinson; grandchildren, Shannon Robinson, Paul Thompson (Gabrielle), April Price (Anthony) and Ryan Thompson; great-grandchildren, Jean-Paul, Layla, and Anthony Jr.; brother, Ernest, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Thomas ("Tom"/"Tommy") was born on May 9th, 1938 in Lake Shore, Maryland. He lived in Baltimore and Pasadena, Maryland, before moving to Zolfo Springs, Florida in 2003. He was a dedicated. hard-working employee of the Mass Transit Administration for more than 35 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, trips to Ocean City, and working in his shop at home. As a young father, he enjoyed camping trips with his family up and down the east coast for many years.

The Memorial Service will be Saturday June 8, 2024 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Chapel at 10am, with Father Luis officiating.
