Thomas H. Bill Gamage, age 83, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in Bartow, Fl. He was born on October 17, 1925 in Arcadia, Fl to Thomas H. and Myrtle A.(Thompson) Gamage, Sr. Bill moved to Bartow, Fl. in 1962 from Dade City, Fl. Bill was retired from the State of Florida, where is was an engineer for the Department of Transportation. Bill was a member of the Winter Haven Moose Lodge, Winter Haven, Cypress Lanes Bowling, Winter Haven, enjoyed fishing, hunting and listening to Big Band music. His passion for people was displayed by his time he spent volunteering for Meals on Wheels, Winter Haven. Bill served our country during WW II in the U.S. Navy; Bill was also an active member of the First Baptist Church, Bartow, Fl. Survivors include his daughter, Carol G. (Hank) Frisbie of Bartow, Fl., one sister Alidah Owsley, Arcadia, Fl., two grandsons, H. Lloyd Frisbie, Jr. and Thomas R. Frisbie, three great-grandsons, Clay, Tyler and Gabriel. Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna (Duncan) Gamage, his parents Thomas H. and Myrtle A. Thompson Gamage, Sr. and a sister Doris Carlton. Visitation will be from 1:00PM till 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, Fl. Funeral Services will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the chapel with Rev. Hank Frisbie of the First Baptist Church of Inwood, Winter Haven, Fl. officiating.
