Theron Dee Royal, age 85, of Arcadia, Florida passed away on June 2, 2025. Theron was born April 23, 1940 in Pitts, Georgia to the late: George and Eugenia Fussell Royal.

After completing high school, Theron was drafted into the US Army and served 2 years active and 2 years in the reserves. He came to Wauchula in 1958 and moved to Arcadia in 1978. He began working in the Citrus industry (McDonald & Olive) at the age of 18.

Theron was a man with a strong work ethic and over the years was employed as manager for companies including Myakka Citrus, Orange Co., and Florida Natural, from which he retired. Theron then worked for Hayes Transport for another 71/2 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his biggest love of all, was the love he had for his wife and daughters.

Theron is survived by his daughters, Sherry Wynn Ray, of Lake Placid, Florida, Eugenia Raines, of Arcadia, Florida, Lori Wright of Arcadia, Florida, Margie (Ronnie) Fisher, of Port Charlotte, Florida, Margaret Royal, of Georgia, James (Carol) Royal, of Tennessee, Patricia Royal, of Florida, 6 grandchildren, 9  great grandchildren and 1 on way, numerous nieces and nephews.

Theron was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Rorie, his parents, brothers, J.E. Royal, Jewell Royal, Clifford Royal, Henry Royal and precious granddaughter, Marla Rose.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the American Legion in Arcadia, FL starting at 1:00pm. Dr. Jerry McGowin will be officiating.
