Theresa J. McGill, age 46, passed away April 4, 2011 in Canon, GA. Theresa was born June 16, 1964 in Hollywood, FL, moving to Arcadia, FL in 1967. She moved to Canon, GA 10 years ago from Arcadia. Theresa worked for the city of Arcadia as an accounts specialist and an assistant to the City Recorder for 19 years. She was awarded the Key to the City for her faithful dedication to the citizens of Arcadia. Theresa worked as a veterinarian assistant in Canon, GA. She was a graduate of DeSoto County High School, class of 1982. Theresa enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time in the woods with her beloved pets. She was of the protestant faith. Survivors are her husband; Tom McGill, Canon, GA, father; George W. Cain, Arcadia, FL, two sisters, Cathy M. Channel, Arcadia, FL and Jo Ann K. (Nick) Chaich, Malvern, AR, one niece; Amy Channel, Arcadia, three nephews: Larry Channel and Tim Channel, Arcadia, and Gary Loughren, AR. Theresa is preceded in death by her mother; Donna Cain. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, Fl Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Monday, April 11, 2011 at Joshua Creek Cemetery, Arcadia, FL.
