Terry (Corkey) Lavonne Pelham, age 69, passed away at home with family on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 in Fort Meade, Florida. He was born September 9, 1956, to Juanita Pelham.
He lived in Wauchula until he moved to Fort Meade. Corkey worked for Mier Trucking. Corkey enjoyed his kids and grandchildren; they were his greatest accomplishments. He was married to his loving wife, Anita Pelham, for 5 years.
Corkey loved spending time with his family, going fishing, and he loved aggravating anyone who he could. Corkey also loved to cook. He was a joker. Corkey loved cracking jokes and making people laugh, He always started and ended his conversation with driver.
He is survived by his wife Anita Pelham and his father Buddy Colson his children; Terry Pelham of New Zion, Ladusta Evans of Wauchula, Brandy Vansickle of Wauchula, Florida and Bobbi (BoBo) Virgile of Wauchula, Florida also his brother; Ray (Skebo) Thomas (Peggy), sisters; Pam Lewis of Sebring, Fl, Sharon Algood Fort Meade, Florida and Vickie (David) Trammell Fort Meade, Florida. There are also seven grandchildren as well as five nieces and three nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother; Juanita Pelham Colson.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 10:00AM at Ponger-Kays-Grady Chapel in Wauchula, Florida. Interment at Paynes Creek Cemetery in Bowling Green, Florida.
