Sylvia J. Pickle, age 75 passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, in Arcadia, Fl. She was born on July 7, 1948, in Arcadia, Florida to the late Harold and Betty Williams Edmark. Sylvia was of the Baptist faith and a life-long resident of DeSoto County.

She enjoyed fishing, camping, canning, arts and crafts, quilting, barbeques and family gatherings. Also, can't leave out that she loved watching old westerns with her love, Bill.

Sylvia is survived by her 23-year partner in life William "Bill" Kalvaitis, her son, Carl Wayne (Sorrel) Pickle of Arcadia, two daughters, Elizabeth "Lisa" Steele (Stephen Hartman) of Santa Barbara, CA, and Deborah Jeter of Arcadia, three sisters, Laverne (Orain) Albritton of Nocatee, Marie Kelly of Arcadia and Joyce (George) Grantham of Ft. Ogden. Sylvia is also survived by one bonus daughter Nikki (Hil) Poole of Vero Beach, FL, one bonus son, Devin (Jennifer) Kalvaitis of Parkland, Florida, four grandchildren Garrett Jeter, Brent Steele, Pacyn Pickle and Paysleigh Pickle, 6 bonus grandchildren Rayna Poole, Ella, Reid, Paige and Lily Kalvaitis. One great grandchild, Brayleigh Steele and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved and adored them all.

On behalf of the family, they would like to thank you for coming to help celebrate Sylvia. A Celebration of Life will be held at North Hillsborough Baptist Church in Arcadia, Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 10:00 am. They would also like to invite anyone who wishes to join them, immediately following the celebration of life to the fellowship hall at Arcadia Church of God, located at 1423 NE Oak Street, to share in Sylvia's favorite pot-luck meal.
