Susan Marie Nelson age 66 passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023. She was born on February 13, 1957, in New Jersey to Clarence and Marjorie O'Brien.

Susan was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Cowboy Church. She loved bowling and playing cards and coffee. She adored her dogs Gizmo and Grouchy.

She will be remembered as a loving wife and fun-loving granny. She loved her husband, Willis and all the children and grandchildren. A favorite memory will be playing cards and trying to beat Granny Grunt.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Marjorie O' Brien and siblings, Janet Clouse, Marjorie Cooper, Carol Ordway, Clarence O'Brien and Richard O'Brien.

She is survived by her husband Willis Ross Nelson, her children, Ross (Amanda) Nelson of Arcadia, Florida, Pepper (Brian) Sellars of Parrish, Florida, Chad (Jessica) Nelson and Adam (Nickie) Nelson of Arcadia, Florida. Also, a brother, Gary O'Brien. Her grandchildren are, Stacie, Lane, Pypper, and Cross Nelson, Langston, Landing and Lawsyn Sellars, as well as Will, CJ, Jaiden, and Cutter Nelson and Justin Davies, and great grandchild Tanner Nelson and niece Debbie Little of New Jersey.

The Visitation will be on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 10:00am – 11:00am in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 50 N. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, Florida. The service will follow at 11:00am with Reverend Jerry Atkins officiating. Burial will be at Joshua Creek Cemetery.
