Susan A. Suzie Hovey, age 59, of Arcadia, Fl. passed away, August 24, 2009 in Arcadia , Fl. Suzie was born October 5, 1949 in Winston-Salem, NC., moving to Arcadia in 1962 from Ft. Meade, Fl. Suzie was a licensed real estate broker, a licensed optician, and at onetime, owner and operated her own eyeglasses business. She was a very faithful member of the Seven Day Adventist Church in Arcadia. She was a former member of the Junior Woman s Club. She loved making people smile. Suzie was blessed with a wonderful personality and never hesitated to share her joy with others. Suzie is survived by her beloved husband, Don, Arcadia, Fl , two nieces, and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Doris Yokeley, and a brother Gilbert Yokeley. For all who knew Suzie Hovey, their lives will be forever changed! Suzie was truly an angel from heaven. She was a true blessing to everyone she met with her endless courage and strength. Suzie taught us the lessons of love, generosity, selflessness, and faith. Memories of Suzie s smiling face will always remind us that each moment of life is a precious gift from God., not to be taken for granted. The world will never be the same because of the beautiful difference her life has made. Suzie left this world surrounded with the things that meant the most to her; her faith in God; the love of her husband Don; and the care from friends that loved her. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM Friday, August 28, 2009, from the Seven Day Adventist Church, Arcadia, Fl. with Pastor Lester Pratt officiating.
