Silverio Palacios Hernandez, 70, of Zolfo springs, Florida, went home to his Creator on May 1, 2026.

Born in Hildago, Mexico, Silverio learned the values of hard work, faith, and perseverance at a young age. For more than 40 years, he was a dedicated laborer who took immense pride in working the American soil, harvesting fruits and vegetables across the United States.  Often working before the sun to tend to the fields, his life was defined by the honest work of farming -- weathering storms and nurturing crops to provide for his family and the nation alike.

Silverio was known for his generous heart even before his conversion. After accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior, that spirit grew; he became a passionate witness for the Gospel, constantly sharing his faith and remaining ready to help anyone in need without expecting anything in return.

He was a beloved husband of Maria Elena Palacios. He is survived by his children, Diana, Azucena, Cecilia and Amin Mirziale, and his seven grandchildren, Silver, Damaris, Uzziel, Emmanuel, Daniel, Elijah, and Abdiel.

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ." __Philippians 3:20

A funeral service will be held at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 205 N. 9th Avenue, Wauchula, FL 33873 on Thursday May 7, 2026, at 10:00AM in the Chapel. Interment will follow immediately at Friendship Methodist Cemetery, 804 Moffitt Road, Zolfo Springs, FL 33890.
