Sidney R. Hickin, age 67, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 in Lehigh Acres, Fl. He was surrounded by Family and went quietly and without pain. He was born January 22, 1943 in Niagara Falls, Ont. Canada and moved to N. Fort Myers, FL. 51 years ago. Sidney was of the Presbyterian faith. Sidney was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a Journeyman Plumber, working in new construction, repair, sales and service in all aspects of plumbing. He and his wife Pat loved to stay in their cabin in N. Georgia as often as possible. He enjoyed sight seeing, antiquing, fishing and camping. He also was a big NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia A. Hickin of N. Fort Myers, Fl; two sons Ian J. Hickin and Jason B. (Candice) Hickin both of N. Fort Myers, FL.; two grandchildren Gage and Lane Hickin of N. Fort Myers. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00PM at the chapel with Dr. Ted Land officiating of the First Presbyterian Church, Arcadia. Burial will be at Joshua Creek Cemetery.
