Shirley Ann Foster, age 78, passed away Friday, January 30, 2009 in Arcadia. She was born October 3, 1930 in Utica, NY and moved to Arcadia from there in 1970. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family very much. She devoted and spent much of her time helping with all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a wonderful t cook, enjoying preparing meals for them. Shirley s hobbies were sewing and knitting. She was of the protestant faith. Survivors include her loving husband John H. Foster of Arcadia, Fl., three sons, Rocco A. (Joann) Foster of Utica, NY, Timothy A. (Denise)Foster, Arcadia, Fl. and Harold J. (Debbie) Foster of Arcadia, Fl. Seven daughters, Jane E. (Jimmy) Davis, Arcadia, Fl.,Susan (Bill) Wight of Punta Gorda, Fl., Avis E. (Frank) Beitler, Cape Coral, Fl., Peggy A. Foster, Jacksonville, Al., Shirley A. (Steven) Adcock of Arcadia, Fl., Becky A. (Jeff) Johnson, OK, Trina J. (Trevor) Howard, of Arcadia, Fl., one sister Mary Modra, Utica, NY, 32 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two son William E. and Richard J Alsante, parents Everett and Margarette Reynolds, a brother Everett Reynolds and sister Margaret LaPaqlia. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM until 11:00AM, Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, Fl. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM, Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the chapel with Pastor Ted Stanton officiating. Interment will follow at Joshua Creek Cemetery, Arcadia, Fl.
