Sheerynne Frances Spas Iverson passed peacefully in her sleep on January 2nd, 2024, at her home in Lily, Florida at the age of 49.
Sheerynne was born on November 24th, 1974, in Westerly, RI to Jean and Ted Spas. When she was 9 years old her family moved to Arcadia, FL. She graduated from Desoto High School in 1992. She then did two years of college at South Florida State College and finished her college career at the University of Florida (Go gators!) in August of 1996. She married the love of her life, Bill Iverson, on November 1st, 1996. Sheerynne loyally worked in the Food Service Department of Desoto County School District for 27 years. She and her husband welcomed 4 children over the course of their marriage and recently welcomed their first grandson in January of 2023.
Sheerynne will be remembered by her family and friends as loving, kind, witty, funny, and thoughtful. She was an active member of Union Baptist church and the testament of a wonderful wife and mother. Sheerynne was a follower of Christ and her faith during her illness inspired many. Her favorite quote, "But if not, He is still good." is a faithful reminder during this difficult time. Sheerynne's cancer diagnosis caused many complications for her, especially toward the end of her life. Despite this, she remained hopeful and grateful for the time she was given. Because of Sheerynne's faith in Jesus, she is now completely healed in heaven with Him. Sheerynne will be missed tremendously by her family and friends until they meet her again.
She is survived by her husband Bill Iverson, four children Ariel Iverson Stone and son-in-law Ryan Stone, Faith Iverson, Noah Iverson, and Joy Iverson, 3 grandchildren Rylee Stone, Jase Stone, and Grady Stone, 4 siblings and many nieces and nephews Kristen Brase and brother-in-law Ben Brase, Kyleen Brase, and Theo Brase; Todd Spas; Sara Sica and brother-in-law Jon Sica, Caroline Sica, Penelope Sica, Fletcher Sica, and McArthur Sica; and Jessica Houlihan and brother-in-law Jonny Houlihan, Josie Brown and Jocelyn Houlihan, parents Ted and Jean Spas, parent-in-laws George and Wanda Iverson, and many others who were touched by her life.
