Shawn Cody Svendsen, age 16, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in Wauchula, FL. He was born June 22, 1994 in Avon Park, FL and was a lifetime resident. He was a member of Florida s First Assembly of God, Wauchula. Cody was a junior at Hardee High School, Wauchula. He will be remembered as a good student and friend. He enjoyed fishing with his dad, had a wonderful imagination, which he took his ideas and created things. He was a Renaissance man. Cody was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his parents; Kelly D. and Ginger L. Rogers Svendsen of Bowling Green, FL, three brothers Jeffrey Svendsen of Wauchula, FL, Justin (Ashley) Svendsen of New York and Joey Svendsen of Fall River, MA, two sisters Tiffany Fancher of Tampa, FL and Kristine Svendsen of Wauchula, FL., maternal grandmother, Barbara Rogers of Bowling Green, FL and paternal grandparents, Connie Newton and Mel Svendsen of Wauchula, FL also several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Rogers. A visitation will be held Monday, March 21, 2011 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Florida s First Assembly of God, 1397 S. Florida Ave., Wauchula. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 11:00AM at the church with Reverend Christopher Rutledge officiating.
