Sharon Kay Cross

(February 5, 1967 – February 6, 2022)

Sharon Kay Cross age 55, passed away on February 6, 2022, in Arcadia, Florida. She was born in Morristown, Tennessee on February 5, 1967.

She has lived in the area for well over 50 years and worked at the DeSoto County Health Department as a Dental Assistant. Her greatest accomplishments were being a great mom, grandma, and doing the job that she so enjoyed, being a Dental Assistant. She loved spending time with her family, children and grand-children and taking care of people. She was very family oriented and also loved watching crime shows.

She is survived by her mother, Charleen Sexton Skyrme, her daughter and son, Dalton (Carlisa) Cross of Arcadia, Florida and Shelby (Robert) Cross of Leesburg, Florida. Also included in her family are sisters, Karen Cook, Kathy (Byron) Jarnagin, and her brother Terry (Crystal) Lawson.

Her two grandchildren are Chloe Avery Cross and Charlotte Jessi Cross. Her nieces include Alena, Brittany, and Kaitlin and her nephews are Brad, Josh and Nicholas.

She is predeceased by her father Walter Brownlow Lamb.

There will be a Celebration of Life on February 12, 2022, at 11:00A.M., at the Fort Ogden First Baptist Church, 6831 SW Senate Street, Arcadia, Florida 34269.

The family encourages people to wear something purple, clothing or accessories, to her Celebration of Life since that was her favorite color.
