Sandra K. Vega Sandra Kay Vega, 58, of Port Charlotte, Fla., and formerly of Arcadia, Fla., passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008, from a brief illness. She was born July 17, 1949, in Denver, Colo. Sandra had lived in Port Charlotte for only three years, moving there from Arcadia, where she had lived since 1987. She was a dietary manager for Deep Creek Health and Rehabilitation in Port Charlotte. Sandra enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She was a dedicated and hardworking person, and was a friendly person who valued her friendships with others. Sandra was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a daughter, Tia Johnson of Port Charlotte; and a grandson, Kaymarian Martin of Port Charlotte. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today, Friday, July 11, 2008, from Ponger-Kays-Grady Chapel, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, with the Rev. Richard Englert officiating. Arrangements are by Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, Arcadia.
