Ruth Bell Kerce, age 79, Arcadia, Fl., passed away May 5, 2009 in Arcadia. She was born June 14, 1929 in Melbourne, Fl. and had lived in Arcadia for the past 50 years, moving here from Amsterdam, New York. Ruth was a stay at home wife and mom making sure that her family s needs were met. She was a former member of the Arcadia Garden Club and the Arcadia Women s Club. She enjoyed golfing and bowling until her health began to fail her. Ruth is survived by her beloved husband, William Bill Kerce, Arcadia, a son,; David (Colleen) Donaldson, Arcadia, three daughters; Betty Rathburn, Belton, Texas, Diane (David) Hyde, Pensacola, Fl., and Deborah Esper, Lake Butler, Fl. She also leaves 11 grand children; David (Kathy) Donaldson, Jr. North Port, Fl., Brenda Donaldson and Jerri (Samson) Thompson both of Port Charlotte, Fl., Donald (Carrie) Taylor and Jamie (Jason) Pelham, Shannon Donaldson, all of Arcadia, Sandra (Phillip) Bingert , Pensacola, Fl., Deborah Sue (Darryl) Culpepper, Stephanie Geraldean (Gary) Lightsey, Richard Victor Clark II and Leon Richard Clark all of Belton, Tx. Ruth is preceded in death by her first husband Richard Dick Donaldson, Feb. 20, 1988 and a brother Lee Harska. Visitation will be conducted, from 6:00PM until 8:00Pm Friday evening, May 8, 2009 from Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, Fl. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, May 9, 2009 from Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
