Rosalie M. Ross, age 94, passed away, July 21, 2011 in Arcadia, FL. Rosalie was born September 1, 1916 in Great Valley, NY. She moved to Arcadia in 1983 after spending 50 years in New Jersey. Rosalie was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting portraits, while her husband Don would paint landscapes. She was also a bird watcher. She would spend hours watching for and identifying the different species of birds that would come within her field of vision. Rosalie was a member of the Changewater Methodist, Changewater, NJ. She attended the Pine Level United Methodist Church here in Pine level community, Arcadia, FL. Rosalie is survived be her sister, Viola Compton, Arcadia, FL. She is survived by several nieces and nephew. Mildred Millie Patterson, a niece, and sister Viola were Rosalie s caregivers in their home in Nocatee, FL after her husband Don past away. Rosalie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, H. Donald Don Ross in 2003. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 25, 2011 at Joshua Creek Cemetery, Arcadia, FL with Rev. Roy Arms officiating.
