Roberta A. Santucci, age 71, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at her home in Arcadia, FL. She was born February 20, 1939 in Cicero, IL and moved to Arcadia 25 years ago from Rockford, IL. Roberta was of the Baptist faith and a member of Fort Ogden Baptist Church, Fort Ogden, FL. Roberta was a very loving, caring mother and grandmother; she enjoyed taking care and spending time with her family. Her favorite saying when she would sign a card or letter would be I love you more than a dog loves his bone. She loved reading; watching old movies, her favorite being Gone with the Wind. Roberta loved to collect snowmen and made her home a winter wonderland at Christmas, roosters, apples and kitchen chef s. She was a member of the Moose Lodge # 1327 of Arcadia, FL. She is survived by one daughter Victoria R. Saviano of Chicago, IL two sons, Anthony D. Saviano of Lawton, OK and Marcello J. (Laura) Ferrentino of Arcadia, FL.; eight grandchildren; Danielle Pruitt, Amanda Ferrentino, James Lowmark, Jr., Brandon Ferrentino, Coby Powell, Kyle Ferrentino Anthony Saviano and Savannah Saviano; two great grandchildren; Joshua Shelfer and Cory Head and her beloved dog Buddy Boy. She was preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Rose Ann Brecka Nemec and a sister Rosemary Holas. Memorial Services and a Celebration of Roberta s life will be Friday, June 4, 2010 11:00AM at Heritage Baptist Church, 27 N. Polk St., Arcadia, FL. with Rev. Thomas J. Knickerbocker officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations made in Roberta s name to Heritage Baptist Church.
