Robert H. Foster, age 78, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2009 in Arcadia. He was born November 7, 1930 in Newark, NJ and moved to Arcadia 8 years ago as a full time resident from Union, NJ. Robert was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Arcadia, Fl where he served as a Deacon. Bob loved life, and spent countless hours giving back to others. He retired after serving 37 years for the Union Police Department in Union, NJ. He was an active member for 25 years of the Loyalty Lodge No. 33 F&AM; a 32nd degree Mason; High Twelve Club No 600; Scottish Rite of Florida and N. Valley, NJ; Order of the Eastern Star, NJ; PBA Local 69, Union NJ; Past Treasure International Police Assn. Region 10, NJ.and First Presbyterian Church Men s Luncheon Group. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography, camping, a passion for horses and music of which he played the organ for 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife Mildred H. Foster of Arcadia, Fl., two sons, James R. (Susan) Foster of Cranford, NJ and Joseph H. (Cathy) Foster of Flemington, NJ, one daughter Margaret H. (William) Quatrone of Fayetteville, NC, one sister Dorothy (William) Brown of Auburn, IN., seven grandchildren Jason, Alex and Britini Quatrone and Evan, Sarah, Jennifer and Robert Foster and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard H. and Emma Volst Foster. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Robert s Life will be on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 7:30PM at Azure Masada Masonic Lodge # 22, 478 South Avenue, East Cranford, NJ.
