Robert E. Blackmon, age 65 passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, Arcadia Florida. He was born on November 18, 1957, in Arcadia, FL to the late Robert C. and Frances L. Norman Blackmon.

Robert was the owner of Robert E. Blackmon Septic Tank LLC, he went to DeSoto County High School and graduated with a GED. He was also a member of the North Hillsborough Baptist Church. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters.

He will be remembered as a caring, giving, and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Marie Albritton Blackmon, his children Jennifer Nicole (Wael) Alokeh of Lakewood Ranch, Robert Daren (Melissa) Blackmon of Arcadia, Randy (Candy) Rosine of Arcadia, Florida. He is also survived by his brothers Alan (Chris) Blackmon of Cookeville, Tennessee, Larry Blackmon and Jerry Blackmon of Arcadia, Florida and sisters Elizabeth (Joe) Hill of Bradenton, Florida and Willene Tyson of Arcadia, Florida. Robert had five grandchildren, Natalia Noelle, Yara Grace, Shana Rosine, Chloe Miller, and Jaedon Romero plus many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. and Frances L. Blackmon.

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 10:00am until 11:00am at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00am at the chapel with Rev. Ellis Cross of  N. Hillsborough Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Joshua Creek Cemetery, Arcadia

In Lieu of flowers the family requests Memorial Contribution be made to the North Hillsborough Baptist Church (Building Fund).
