Robert Cline

August 9, 1939 – April 1, 2022
Robert Cline Albritton Sr. (RC), 82, of Zolfo Springs, passed into the arms of Jesus Christ on Friday, April 01, 2022, at his home on the East side of Lake Istokpoga in Lorida, Florida.
Cline was born on August 9, 1939 in Fort Green, Florida to Hilton and Dovie Smith Albritton, but was raised by his loving grandparents, Jim and Josephine Albritton.
He was a 1957 graduate of Hardee High School where he was a member of the basketball team. After graduation, he joined the US Army Reserve, where he served 4 years duty. He was employed in the phosphate industry for nearly 50 years. He loved his work and was very dedicated to his employers. He loved to float rock! During his free time, Cline enjoyed working his little herd of cattle and fishing Lake Istokpoga. He was a past member of Hardee County Cattleman's Association and a member of the Society of Mining Engineers. Cline also served on the Hardee County Planning and Zoning Board and is a current member of Friends of Lake Istokpoga Association. He is an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and often worshiped with family and friends at Payne Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Bowling Green.
Cline loved his family and is survived by his wife of 60 years, Vickie McClellan Albritton. He is also survived by daughter Sharon Edenfield, son Robert Albritton Jr. (Robby) and wife Sherry of Zolfo Springs. His surviving grandchildren include: grandsons Garrett Edenfield, Colton Albritton, Cayden Albritton, Granddaughters Mariah Hall (Codie), Haley Edenfield, Kayla Albritton, and great grandson Bear Hall. Cline is also survived by his sister Charlotte Truitt of Carey, NC, brother Robert Boardman of Avon Park, and two brother-cousins Hollis Albritton and James Hill Albritton. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and sisters Geraldine Hamby and Phyllis Williams.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 09, 2022, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, located at 4350 West Main Street, Wauchula, FL. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am, followed with a service beginning at 11:00 am officiated by Pastor Jim Davis and Elder Hollis Albritton. A private burial will be conducted at Payne Creek Cemetery following the service under the direction of Ponger-Kays-Grady Wauchula Funeral Home.
