Richard Castillo Jr, age 30, of Bushnell, FL, formerly of Arcadia, FL, passed away May 6, 2022, in Sumter County, FL.  Richard was born November 27, 1991, in Arcadia, FL.  He was employed as a fertilizer mixer for a fertilizer company in Bushnell.

Richard, known to his family as Ricky Jr., had a contagious smile, a goofy laugh, and a kind, big & caring heart & he loved his life very much. He enjoyed spending his time with friends & family all around especially his children, the ones who meant the most to him. He had a big heart that looked for the good in everyone, he would give you his last dollar if you needed it & could make a stranger's day with his grin & sweet words. Being around him felt like being around a human form of sunshine, from his hugs to his laugh & the big grin he just lit up the whole room. He will greatly be missed by all of those who knew him.

Richard is survived by his father, Richard (Ashley) Castillo, Arcadia, FL, and his mother, Juanita (Jesus) Carrillo, Zolfo Springs, FL, Ricky has one son, Jacob Alexander Castillo, and one daughter, Raelyn Castillo both of Arcadia, FL.  He leaves three brothers, Jeremiah (Mary Teresa) Castillo, Punta Gorda, FL, Wyatt Castillo, also of Arcadia, FL, and Justin (Alicia) Gaitan, Zolfo Springs, FL.  He leaves two sisters, Caroline and Vivian Castillo, both of Wauchula, FL, and a great grandmother, Juanita Trevino of Winter Haven, FL

Visitation will be conducted from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon, May 12, 2022, from the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, FL.

Funeral services will be at the Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel at 12 Noon with burial to follow in the Wauchula City Cemetery, Wauchula, FL.
