Reverend L. Glen Ahlf, 95, Port Charlotte, formerly of Arcadia, went to meet his Savior on September 5, 2010 at Consulate Health Care of Port Charlotte. He was born November 29, 1914, in Wichita, Kansas. Ordained since 1940 with the Assemblies of God, he pastored Kansas churches for many years, moving to Springfield, MO to retire. His wife of 59 years, Ann passed away in 1999. In 2004 Glen came to Florida to live with his daughter. Survivors include daughters, Carolynn Krohn, Iola, KS; Jan Armbrust and husband, Larry, Port Charlotte; and son, John, Houma, LA, 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a son-in-law Reinhard Krohn; great grandchild, Shelby Ahlf; brothers, Harold and Lester; sisters, Marguerite Reynolds and Hazel Megee. Funeral services will be held in Springfield, MO on Friday, September 10. A memorial service for local friends and family will be announced at a later time.
