Rena Jane Gause, age 80 passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Arcadia, Florida. She was born January 29, 1943 in Shawneetown, Illinois to Frank and Lorena Alwalt Hayes. Rena was a secretary for a Irrigation Company.

Rena loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and spending time with her family. She loved decorating her home. Rena was an antique dealer and collector. She enjoyed going to the Moose Lodge for special events and cooking Thanksgiving dinner for them.

She is survived by her husband Carl Gause, sons John Gause, Frankie (Erin) Gause, daughter Crystal (Tommy) Hodge, sisters Judy (Charlie) Street, Nellie Shepphard, Anna Joe Cox and Twelve grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathon, Janie Marie, Andrew, Emily, Adam, Michael, Courtney, Brandi, Janie, Andrew, and Alex. Also, twenty-one great grandchildren, Dawson, Myla, Elijah, Kaden, Olivia, Arianna, Olivia, Layle, Evelyn, Madison, LIncoln, Audrie, Xander, Lillian, Miahlyan, William, David, Alena, Ava, Kaleb, and Joce.

Rena is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Lorena Hayes, and brothers Dickie and Jim Hayes.
