Ralph Adam Gosda, age 79, passed away Saturday evening, August 29, 2009 peacefully at his home. He was born on June 21, 1930 in Atlanta, IL. Ralph moved to Arcadia fourteen years ago from Lincoln, IL. He was of the Presbyterian faith and active member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Arcadia. Ralph was active in many organizations, he was Past Master and Life Member Lincoln Masonic Lodge No 210, Lincoln, IL, dual membership, Atlanta Masonic Lodge No 165, Atlanta, IL and Peace River Masonic Lodge No66, Arcadia, Life Member Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Springfield, IL, Past President Logan County Shrine Club, Eagles Lodge, Lincoln, IL, Elks Lodge No 1524, Arcadia, FL. Founding Member of REACT, Lincoln, IL, and Former Boy Scout Leader. Ralph was an avid fisherman, gardener and sports fan. He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha R. Gosda, of Arcadia, FL., two sons, Roger (Sally) Gosda of Lincoln, IL and Richard (Allison) Gosda of Hickory, NC, two daughters Ruth (Jeffery) Trimble of Bakersfield, CA and Susan (Neil) Napolitano of Bloomington, IL., three sisters Lillian Knecht of DeKalb, IL, Dorothy Klockenga of Decatur, IL and Rose Singley of Topeka, IL., nine grandchildren Chris, Kelly and Katie Gosda, Luke and Joel Gosda, Amanda Trimble, Sam, Matthew and Michael Napolitano, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents William A. and Lillian M. Gimble Gosda, two sisters and seven brothers. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Ralph s life will be held on September 18th, 2009 with Masonic Ceremony in Lincoln, IL. Inurnment will follow at Harmony Cemetery, Lincoln, IL. A Memorial Service will also be held in Arcadia with the date and time to be announced.
