Patricia A. White, age 75, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 in Port Charlotte. She was born May 15, 1934 in Cedar Rapids, IA, moving to Sarasota, Fl 60 years ago from Iowa. Patricia and her husband Earl then moved to Arcadia making this their home since 2000. Pat was a member of the Church of God in Nocatee, Fl. Patricia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and made caring for her family the first priority in her life. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking, fishing and collecting anything Mickey Mouse. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Earl H. White of Arcadia, FL., one son Timothy H. White of Arcadia, FL., one daughter, Rebecca J. (Jeffrey) Schardt of Arcadia, Fl., one sister Marilyn Lavsay of Athens, GA, eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Beulah Hay. Visitation will be held Friday, August 7, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, FL. Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 11:00AM at the Church of God of Nocatee, US Hwy 17, Nocatee with Rev. Russell Suggs officiating.
