Opal Iva Fairchild 103 of Arcadia passed away June 21, 2008, she was born May 03, 1905 in Stout, Ohio and move to Arcadia 31 years ago from Battle Creek, MI. She enjoyed quilting, oil painting, cross stitching, needle work and wrote poems. Opal was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Arcadia. She was preceded in death by her husband Lindsey Fairchild and her parents William and Lucy Hayship Knauff. She is survived by a friend Charlene M. Silberman, and numerous Nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 1pm to 2pm Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Visitation with Services starting at 2pm. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
