Obituary

Mrs. Ollie Ann Brantley age 79 and longtime resident of DeSoto County passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Ollie Ann graduated from DeSoto County High School in 1960 and was self-employed.

She loved to travel, fish and paint. She also made lovely silk flower arrangements and especially and most importantly to her she loved to read and study her Bible. Ollie faithfully attended The Church of God. She was a devoted parent and great servant of God.

She will be remembered as a great wife, mother and grandmother by her family and friends.

Her children include, Joseph Gordon (Stacy) Brantley of Sylva, North Carolina, Ronald Lee Brantley of Sparta, Georgia, Lisa Brantley and Debra Brantley of Arcadia, Florida.

She had 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Her grandchildren include Lacee D'Ann Johnson, Aspen Victoria Brantley, Kayla Marie (Richie) Coleman, Matthew Isaac (Jessa) Brantley, Donald Lamar Brantley III, Dayton Lee Brantley, Daniel Leonard Brantley, Hannah D'Elle Brantley, and Deacon Lamar Brantley.

Mrs. Brantley was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Donald Lamar Brantley Sr., son Donald Lamar Brantley II, her parents, Matthew and Hilda (Raulerson) Thomas, her brother Joseph Thomas and her In-laws, Arnet and Beatrice Brantley.

There will be a graveside service at 11:30am on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Joshua Creek Cemetery.
