Obituary

Our beloved Odell Jackson was born on March 14,1961 in Havanna, FL to the late Johnny and Minnie Jackson. Odell migrated to Arcadia, FL at a very young age with his parents. He attended the Desoto County High School and later obtained his GED. He went on to accept the call of duty as he joined the US Army National Guard Reserve. During his time of service, he earned the rank, Corporal and received several badges of honor. Corporal Jackson dedicated 21 years of his life to the USA Military before honorably retiring from the military and his career at the DeSoto County Facilities and Maintenance Department.

Retirement was not an option for him, he continued to stay active around the community as the neighborhood "Handy Man". Odell enjoyed watching golf, westerns, and football. His favorite team was the Florida State Seminoles! Odell was filled with love, laughter and a lot of humor, he knew just what to say to make anyone laugh.

Odell leaves behind many memories, with his lifelong partner of 30+ years, Otela Johnson.
