Odell N. Bass passed away February 27, 2010 at age 86. She was born February 17,1924 in Cleo, Alabama and moved to Arcadia 62 years ago. Odell retired as a Registered Nurse for the late Harold S. Agnew,MD after 32 years of faithful service. She was a member of First Baptisit Church of Arcadia. She enjoyed quilting,square dancing and bluegrass music. Odell is survived by her beloved husband Roger G. Bass, Arcadia, Fl. a son Pete Bass, two daughters, Katie Taylor (husband Larry Taylor) of Zolfo Springs, Fl. and Rhonda Murphy (husband Sparky Murphy) of Arcadia, Fl. She also leaves a brother Ben Norton (wife Joyce Norton) of Venice, Fl. two sisters; Sue Driver, Knoxville, TN and Betty Paulson, Panama City, Fl. eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7:00pm until 9:00 pm Sunday evening, February 28,2010 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Chapel, Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, March 1, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Arcadia, with Rev. Richard Englert officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in the Crane Community Cemetery,,Milton, Fl. with Rev James Copeland officiating.
