Nina Jean Daughtrey, age 63, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009 in Tampa. She was born July 10, 1946 in Dayton, TN moving to Arcadia 47 years ago. She was of the Pentecostal Faith. Nina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family very much. She enjoyed fishing, doing her arts and crafts, but her deepest passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Nina spent her working career as an LPN in the medical field and worked at DeSoto Memorial Hospital and for the Department of Juvenile Justice. She is survived by her spouse of 46 years, John C. Daughtrey of Arcadia, Fl., one son, Michael W. (Lynn) Daughtrey of North Port, FL., two daughters Tina M. (Billy) Zahn of Okeechobee, Fl and Tammy L. Newman, Arcadia, Fl., two brothers, Fred Hensley of Arcadia, Fl. and Jerry White of Arcadia, Fl., one sister Linda F. (Herb) Glass of Winchester, VA., ten grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Nina was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Laura Harwell Hensley, Sr. Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 11:00AM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N.
