Nelson Perez, Age-73 of Arcadia, FL passed away on Sunday November 14 ^th 2021 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Nelson was born on December 24 ^th 1947 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Nelson has been a resident of Arcadia for the last 15 years. Nelson owned and operated a lawn care business here locally. Nelson was a veteran of the Vietnam War and volunteered for the Veterans Administration. He enjoyed landscaping, detailing vehicles and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a caring, hardworking and sometimes stubborn man.

He is survived by six children, Nicole Perez of Wauchula, FL; Brittany and Jason of Fort Myers, FL; Anthony Perez of Ocala, FL, Nelson (Letty) Perez Jr. and Theresa (Joey) Valcarcel of New York. Six siblings; Jeanette Crespo, Ivette, Angel and Wilfred Perez, Albert Aponte and Jaime Crespo he is also survived by four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and eighteen nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio Perez and Virginia Aponte; two brothers, Albert Aponte and Jaime Crespo.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Friday December 10 ^th 2021 at 1:30pm.  Please assemble at the Administration Building of Sarasota National Cemetery by 1:15pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
